This is a 6-week course that introduces the handler and the dog to the fundamental skills of beginner agility. The dog and handler will learn all agility obstacles and agility safety practices.
PREREQUISITES: Dog or puppy must be up to date on all vaccinations. A basic obedience class is recommend before staring the class.

This class is for students coming out of a beginner class or if you are just starting on full courses. A 6 week course that teaches the handler, along with their dog, the basic skills required to successfully negotiate agility courses while having fun. The class focuses on developing a reliable performance on the obstacles and learning to sequence using various obstacle combinations. The handler and dog build a common language of communication, while developing the dog's confidence through positive reinforcement. Dogs are increasingly encouraged to work off-leash.

AKC Rally is the new dog sport that is taking the nation by storm, a successful stepping stone from the AKC Canine Good Citizen® program to the world of obedience or agility. Rally offers both the dogs and handlers an experience that is fun and energizing. The canine team moves at their own pace, very similar to rally-style auto racing. Click here for more info.
