My name is Deb Rabuck. I have been employed as a registered nurse since 1979. I have worked at the Lehigh Valley Hospital for all of those years. I have always worked in critical care. I have taken care of adults, children and babies. I currently work in the neonatal intensive care, taking care of premature babies and sick newborns. I enjoy my work and find it very rewarding.
I have had dogs, cats and birds for my whole life. I had a very accommodating mother, and always had multiple pets. I started training dogs at fourteen, showing a basenji to her C.D. title. I showed another basenji to his championship. I got my first whippet at sixteen and I have been in love with the breed ever since. I had a golden retriever who got his C.D. I currently have six dogs. Two whippets, my boy whippet, Frankie has his C.D.,RE, and his APDT rally titles RL3.He has several field champion points, and his senior courser title. He was a therapy dog until I retired him. My girl whippet, Dottie, doesn't really like to do anything except run, has her senior courser title, and several field champion points. She was also a therapy dog until she was retired. The senior member of the household is Mary. She is a sheltie?, terrier mix, who is 14 years old. She was a great therapy dog until she was retired this year, and she is the matriarch of the household. I also have and French Bulldog named Charlotte. She has her RE, NADAC and UKC agility titles, and her APDT RL3 titles in rally. She loves to practice lure course with the whippets and loves flyball, I have 2 baby frenchies who are my pride and joy.
I enjoy teaching with Ann at Dogtown kennels. We have been teaching flyball, rally, and ring-prep obedience for about a year now. We have several students with rally titles and legs. I also show a Cavalier King Charles spaniel in rally, she has her RN and we hope to finish her RA titles soon. I enjoy showing and training dogs and helping others train their dogs for the Show ring.
